Thomson Geer promotes three to Partner, one to Principal Lawyer

Thomson Geer is pleased to announce the promotion of three new Partners and one Principal Lawyer at sister firm TG Legal + Technology, as well as the promotions of 51 lawyers across our group.

Chief Executive Partner Adrian Tembel said: "The promotions recognise the significant achievements and continuing development of our people. We congratulate everyone on their success and look forward to celebrating their career goals into the future."

The senior promotions are:

Liam McIllhatton – Property and Development, Sydney

Fiona Stapleton – Tax, Adelaide

Principal Lawyer

Scott Newlan – Workplace and Insurance Services, Melbourne – TG Legal + Technology

Special Counsel

Rebecca Ayres  - Workplace Insurance, Melbourne – TG Legal + Technology

Jonathan Foo – Corporate, Perth

Alexandra Juniper - Property, Adelaide

Rozelle Macalincag - Disputes, Adelaide

Elise Williams - Workplace Insurance, Melbourne – TG Legal + Technology

Zoe Wu - Corporate, Sydney

There were also 12 people promoted to Senior Associate and 33 promoted to Associate.

Thomson Geer's promotions come at a time of significant growth for the firm. In the past six months the firm has announced it is welcoming the Canberra office of global law firm Ashurst, including seven Partners, a 55+ team in total.

The firm has also throughout 24/25 welcomed new Partners and their teams including:

  1. regulatory and life sciences Partner Mandi Jacobson from international firm Hogan Lovells,
  2. construction Partner Phillip Coady and financial services Partner Liam Hennessy from Clyde & Co,
  3. technology Partners Hayden Delaney and Steven Hunwicks and,
  4. workplace law Partner Adrian Wong.
