Promotions and new rankings for Thomson Geer in Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific 2026 Guide

Thomson Geer has achieved its strongest result to date in the Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific 2026 guide, with more practice areas and Partners recognised than ever before.

Thomson Geer Chief Executive Partner Adrian Tembel said: "We now have more ranked Partners and more ranked practice areas than ever before, which is validation of our quality agenda."

Partner Marlia Saunders was promoted to the highest ranking Band 1 for Media while Partner Scott Gibson was ranked for the first time for Corporate/M&A and Partner Vicki Sharp was ranked for Property.

The firm was also newly ranked for Capital Markets – Equity, Energy & Resources and Dispute Resolution.

"These results reflect consistent progress across the firm – more recognised individuals, more ranked practice areas and a stronger national footprint in the areas that matter to our clients," Adrian said.

The firm maintained Band 1 rankings for Media and Government, as well as rankings for Corporate/M&A, IT & Telecommunications, Construction, Intellectual Property, Real Estate and Restructuring & Insolvency.

Media team Partners Justin Quill and John-Paul Cashen and Disputes Partner Bronwyn Lincoln all maintained their Band 1 rankings.

The firm's Media team is now led by three Partners who are all ranked Band 1 by Chambers. No other law firm in Australia has as many Partners as highly ranked working in the Media sector, underscoring its market-leading expertise and reputation.
