Banking and Finance Partner and Special Counsel join Thomson Geer

Thomson Geer has bolstered its national Banking and Finance team with banking and finance lawyer Chuong Nguyen joining the firm as a Partner, together with Ellen Adianto as Special Counsel.

Chuong brings extensive experience acting for both lenders and borrowers across complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions. His practice spans banking and lending – with a particular focus on Asian banks supporting clients investing in Australia – as well as representing borrowers in property development and corporate finance matters.

Chuong has previously practised in London, Tokyo and Shanghai, and in Australia has advised on high-profile financings, acquisitions and restructurings for major banks, corporates and multilateral institutions.

Ellen has over a decade of domestic and international experience advising both financiers and borrowers on a wide range of financing transactions, including property and construction finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, fund finance and corporate lending.

Chuong and Ellen are based in the firm's Melbourne office.

Thomson Geer’s Melbourne office has grown steadily over the past five years, and these latest appointments reflect the firm’s ongoing strategy of targeted, sensible investment to support long-term growth.
