Thomson Geer has advised gold miner Ballard Mining Limited on its successful A$20.6 million equity placement to strategic investor Aurenne Group Holdings Pty Ltd and other existing shareholders.
The placement was structured as a single-tranche issue to accelerate funding without third-party approvals, with Thomson Geer advising on all aspects of deal execution, including the subscription agreement with Aurenne, regulatory compliance and overall structuring to ensure smooth and efficient completion.
Proceeds will support Ballard’s growth plans at its Mt Ida Gold Project in Western Australia, including commencement of work on the newly established 2025 Exploration Target, continued de-risking of the Baldock Project through metallurgical and geotechnical studies, and ongoing drilling and exploration programs.
The Thomson Geer team was led by Partner David Church, who said: "We’re pleased to support Ballard on a transaction that delivers timely growth capital and a strategic cornerstone investor. Structuring the placement to utilise existing capacity ensured funds could be deployed quickly to advance Mt Ida and the broader exploration pipeline."
The team also included Senior Associate Kajal Parmar.
