Support at Home
We have now released the first edition of our Support at Home Service Agreement. Please contact us if you are interested in taking up this template.
Aged Care Rules update
The Rules have not yet been finalised and we appreciate this timing is challenging for providers.
For those who have taken up our Aged Care Act 2024 Transition Tool, we have received feedback that many providers are well progressed in identifying compliance tasks and that it would be useful for TG to provide short form updates on key topics.
With this in mind, rather than preparing an update to the Transition Tool in the same format as the original edition (i.e. section by section analysis and identification of all compliance tasks), we believe a more targeted update that focuses on key areas of risk in advance of commencement of the 2024 Act is a better approach.
With this in mind, we are taking the following approach relating to the Rules:
- An updated version of the Tool which has an additional column for each part/section where we identify and link to the relevant section(s) of the Rules that relate to those sections/compliance tasks – this will be available for clients who purchased the Tool.
- A high level update on high risk items we have identified in our review of the draft rules that we recommend providers focus on in advance of commencement of the 2024 Act. This will include topics such as:
- Service agreements
- Admission and cessation process, including security of tenure
- Information disclosure to Supporters
- Whistleblowers
- Feedback and complaints
- HELF
- RAD management
- Service List
- Transitional issues.
- Access to a live webinar to be delivered on 9 May 2025 on the following topics (for residential care and Support at Home):
- Service Agreements – required contents of service agreements
- Admission and cessation process, including security of tenure and requirements of Standard 2 of the Strengthened Standards regarding agreement formation
- Information disclosure to individuals accessing and seeking to access funded aged care services – including Statement of Rights.
- Access to a pre-recorded webinar for senior staff covering matters such as – agreements, admission and cessation, disclosure, security of tenure, responsible persons, supporters and whistle-blowers.
- Fact sheets for providers (separate fact sheets for residential and Support at Home):
- Information providers must disclose to individuals
- Provider reporting obligations to Commission and System Governor.
We will be offering this Rules update package for $3,500 plus GST
