August 13, 2025

Thomson Geer has advised West African gold miner Orezone Gold Corporation on its recent dual listing on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), raising A$75 million in an underwritten IPO and giving it a market capitalisation of more than A$680 million.

The company, whose flagship Bombore Gold Mine is in Burkina Faso, is also listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).

The dual listing on the ASX represents a significant milestone for Orezone, providing it with the benefits of an increased profile that arises from being listed on the ASX.

Thomson Geer has extensive experience advising international companies seeking to list or dual list on the ASX.

The Thomson Geer team was led by Partner David Church, who said: "Our significant experience assisting foreign companies to list on ASX, together with our leading equity capital markets expertise and strong working relationships with key Australian regulators ensured Orezone's listing on the ASX was seamless and successful. We congratulate Orezone on its achievement and the opportunity it presents to investors in the gold sector."

Ryan Goodman, Senior VP and General Counsel of Orezone, said: "We are thrilled to have joined the ASX and welcome our new investors who have joined us. As an international company, we are grateful to David and his team for their specialised expertise and support in ensuring all legal requirements for our IPO were in order and that our commercial objectives were met on time and with confidence. We look forward to working together in the future."

David was supported by Associate Ariane Moir, with further assistance from Senior Associate Chris Seotis and Special Counsel Cameron Bill.
