Stephen is a Partner in the firm's National Dispute Resolution team.

Stephen specialises in large and complex commercial disputes, Competition and Consumer Law and Franchising. His litigation practice focuses on general corporate and commercial litigation in respect of a wide variety of contractual matters, including Competition and Consumer Act and Corporations law litigation, product liability advice, taxation disputes, banking and finance disputes including security enforcement and recovery of debts owed to lending institutions.

Stephen has extensive experience in managing large disputes which require a team-based approach across different jurisdictions and liaising closely with clients to achieve a favourable and cost efficient outcome.

Stephen has extensive experience in advising clients on all aspects of the Competition and Consumer Act, including both the competition provisions and the new consumer protection provisions contained in the Australian Consumer Laws. Stephen also is the principal liaison partner acting for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

Acting for a client in Supreme Court of Queensland proceedings brought by Vision Group Holdings Ltd and its subsidiary, Icon Laser (Aust) Pty Ltd, seeking approximately A$26 million in damages and an injunction restraining our client from breaching restraint of trade provisions in two agreements.
