Rebecca is a senior corporate lawyer practising in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and general corporate and commercial law. Prior to joining Thomson Geer, Rebecca worked at international law firm A&O Shearman advising on cross-border transactions, with a specific focus on the energy and natural resources sector.  

Rebecca has considerable experience advising on a broad range of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, disposals, takeovers, capital raisings, shareholders agreements and joint ventures. She also advises on ASX Listing Rules, Corporations Act and corporate governance issues. Rebecca also has experience advising on acquisitions by foreign entities in Australia.

Rebecca is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and has a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.

Advising Mitsubishi Materials Corporation on its acquisition of a 30% stake in Chile-based Mantoverde copper mine, from Mantos Copper Holding SpA.

Resolute Mining

Assisting Resolute Mining with a US$90 million sale process for its Bibiani gold mine in Ghana which involved multiple bidders from a range of jurisdictions as well as co-ordinating the sale process with other advisors both in Australia and in Ghana.

TotalEnergies SE

Advising TotalEnergies SE (formerly Total S.A.) on its 50:50 joint venture with the Adani Group in relation to certain LNG assets, the establishment of a co-branded retail network of 1,500 service stations and an onshore LNG marketing business in India and the establishment of an offshore LNG marketing business in Singapore through a separate 50:50 joint venture between Total and the Adani Group.

Rio Doce

Advising Vale's Australian subsidiary, Rio Doce in relation to the sale of a 50% stake in the Eagle Downs Coal Project in Central Queensland, Australia and associated coal project management company to a related entity of its joint venture partner.
