Norman has more than 25 years' experience in dispute resolution and litigation, banking and finance, corporate insolvency, and bankruptcy.
Norman acts for a number of major insolvency accountants and financial institutions, and has been an adviser in a number of Victoria's large insolvency administrations. He also regularly acts for major corporate clients in complex litigation.
Norman's approach is to work closely with his clients in any matter, particularly in identifying their key commercial imperatives. He will then tailor his advice and focus his dispute resolution strategies around a client's major objectives.
The time, energy, and cost involved in the litigation process can cause businesses to lose focus on their day-to-day operations. In many cases, Norman has worked with his clients to explore alternative dispute resolution processes with a view to more efficiently and promptly resolve their disputes.
In addition, Norman works with his clients to identify risks in their businesses and advises them on how to minimise their exposure thereby, where possible, reducing the likelihood of disputes arising.
In 2019, Norman was appointed as a panel member of the disciplinary tribunal of Football Victoria, which is the governing body for football (soccer) in Victoria.
