Marc is an experienced transactional and commercial lawyer who is dedicated to providing pragmatic and effective legal advice to enable his clients to achieve their commercial objectives.

He routinely advises on complex and straightforward corporate transactions including share and asset acquisitions and disposals and capital raisings from heads of agreement/term sheet stage through to completion, including guiding his clients on both vendor and purchaser side through competitive sales processes, transaction and finance structuring, due diligence, transaction document negotiation, warranty regimes including warranty and indemnity insurance and managing residual liability.  

Marc regularly works collaboratively with our affiliate firms through our international networks to provide seamless and consistent advice to our clients on cross border transactions which require legal advice in multiple jurisdictions, and advice to foreign clients about legal requirements for raising capital in Australia and investing in Australia.

In addition, Marc and his team advise clients on their day-to-day legal requirements, including procurement, distribution agreements, logistics and other commercial contracts and corporate governance matters. Marc is a trusted adviser for several ASX listed companies, private equity funds, private companies, not-for-profit clients, family offices and high net worth individuals.

J.G. Boswell Company

Acting for J.G. Boswell Company on the sale of one of Australia’s largest land, water and infrastructure agribusinesses, Australian cotton grower and producer Auscott Limited, to Australian Food & Fibre. Auscott is a leading cotton producer with a large geographic farming footprint spanning across the three major cotton growing regions of Namoi, Macquarie and Murrumbidgee. The assets of Auscott Limited included 22,000 hectares of developed irrigation land in Central NSW and 143,000 megalitres of water entitlements, as well as associated properties, ginning, warehousing and marketing operations.

Abacus Property Group

Acting for Abacus Property Group (ASX: ABG) on multiple acquisitions including the acquisition of a portfolio of five self-storage facilities in Sydney's northern suburbs for approximately A$160 million.

Masimo Corporation

Acting for Masimo Corporation (NASDAQ: MASI), the owner of the Denon hifi brand, on the acquisition of Australian headphone manufacturer Nura Holdings from its shareholders including Australian venture capital funds Blackbird Ventures and Airtree Ventures.
