Lee was admitted to practice in 2000. He specialises in onshore and offshore engineering, construction, infrastructure, energy & resources and transport & logistics matters, with extensive front and back-end experience in:

  • Review, preparation and negotiation of tenders and a broad range of contracts including EPCM, EPC, D&C, construct only, supply, services and various relationship types of contracts, and including the preparation of suites of contracts.
  • Review, preparation and negotiation of associated project documents including bank guarantees, JV agreements and tripartite deeds.
  • Project advisory matters, including project implementation, administration and claims management advice.
  • Related insolvency, employment & workplace and insurance matters, including the management of joint subrogated and primary claims.
  • Dispute resolution including arbitration, court litigation, expert determination, mediation and adjudication under security of payment legislation in various Australian jurisdictions.

Lee acts primarily for publicly listed and private contractors, construction and engineering companies, as well as for public institutions, logistics companies, mining companies and professional service providers across a range of sectors including energy, resources, renewable energy, infrastructure, commercial construction, logistics and education.

Tier one builder

Acting for a tier one builder in relation to all aspects of the construction of the $500 million Raine Square development in Perth, Western Australia, including as to registration, procurement, project advice and in over 15 adjudications and various court actions.

Design and construct contractor

Advising the ASX-listed design and construct contractor of one of the largest solar farms in Australia, including as to its negotiation, implementation, administration and management of EPC, O&M and subcontract agreements.

Marine service bases

Acting for the private owner and operator of multiple marine service bases in regional Western Australia regarding its contractual arrangements for the construction and management of those facilities, and in associated adjudications and court litigation.
