Keith Carl practises in the private client area and commercial real estate. For more than 30 years' Keith has acted for private clients and high net worth individuals. Keith's private client practice, includes estate planning and administration.

Keith's key areas of expertise in property and real estate include, commercial, retail and industrial property acquisitions and disposals, asset operational management, commercial, retail, industrial and residential property development, retail, commercial and industrial leasing and development, sale and leasing of service stations.

In working with clients and organisations such as Queensland Baptists, the Mater Foundation,  Holy Cross Services, Keith has a working knowledge and appreciation of the requirements and needs of charitable providers and community service facilities.

Experience

Lowes Petroleum

Advising and acting for Lowes Petroleum on the establishing of an Australia wide joint venture operation with BP Australia on a retail and wholesale distribution business. Matters addressed included the corporate structure, the participant support agreements, environmental issues, property acquisitions and leases.

Private hospital

Acting for a major private hospital in the acquisition of various properties, specialised leasing of medical suites and educational centres. Issues to be considered and addressed were the day to day operational requirements of the hospital facilities and the integration of the services.

Leasing advice

Assisting clients including Mater Hospital, the Baptist Union of Queensland, and Lowes Petroleum on leasing of sites and setting up standard lease documentation and procedures.

Mater Foundation

Assisting Mater with the purchase and handover of its prize home properties. Also regularly assisting Mater with regulatory compliance, some governance matters and general commercial advice from time to time.
