Joanne is a special counsel in our Canberra employment team and one of our most senior and experienced team members, with approximately 20 years' experience. Joanne assists Commonwealth Government clients on a wide range of employment, industrial and workplace relations and work health and safety issues.
Joanne is experienced in advising on employee integrity issues, including Code of Conduct investigations and undertaking investigations under the Public Interest Disclosure Act. Joanne also undertakes workplace investigations and advises in relation to the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
Joanne has extensive experience in advising Commonwealth Departments and Agencies on employment related issues including unfair dismissal and general protections matters in the Fair Work Commission, discrimination, employee misconduct and injury and employee disputes. Joanne's extensive inhouse Commonwealth Government experience which assists in ensuring advice is provided to government clients in the context of a thorough understanding of government processes and requirements.
Joanne is also an experienced trainer, who has provided a broad range of training to clients in relation to workplace and employment issues, including to their Executive and to Boards.
