Chris practises in a diverse range of property law, with a strong focus on major commercial, industrial and retail acquisitions, disposals and leasing as well as renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
Regularly engaged to act for vendors, purchasers, landlords, tenants and developers, Chris has expertise in the preparation of numerous property documents with varying levels of complexity including contracts for sale, leases, easements, encumbrances, land divisions, development agreements and caveats. He also regularly undertakes property related due diligence and provides advice on all property matters.
Chris has worked with the property sector for almost 20 years. He has a deep passion for property and relishes the opportunity to learn the key commercial drivers of his client’s businesses.
By doing so, Chris is able to ensure that any transaction for which he is engaged receives the benefit of both his understanding of the client’s business and also his knowledge of the industry. He considers service delivery, commerciality and timelines to be core in his role as a commercial advisor.
Chris is an Associate Teacher, tutor and guest lecturer at the University of Adelaide in the area of Property Law.
Chris holds a commerce degree with a major in accounting and currently sits on the Property Council’s SA Division Council and is Deputy Chair of the PCA Future Trends and Innovations Committee.
