Thomson Geer has advised Toubani Resources Inc. (ASX: TRE) on its A$395 million funding package to advance the construction of the Kobada Gold Project in southern Mali, West Africa.
The funding package includes a capital raising to sophisticated and professional investors, the exercise of options by Toubani’s majority shareholder and a gold stream arrangement with its major shareholder. Together, these components provide full project funding for the development of the Kobada Gold Project.
The transaction marks an important milestone for Toubani, enabling the company to progress the development of the Project, which is characterised by its substantial near-surface gold resource, low development costs and strong projected economics.
Thomson Geer advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, including structuring and implementation of the capital raising, option exercise and gold stream term sheet.
