Thomson Geer has advised Western Australia-focused gold explorer Rox Resources on a A$40 million capital raising to further development of its flagship Youanmi Gold Project.
The capital raising consists of a two-tranche placement of shares to domestic and international institutional and sophisticated investors.
Thomson Geer assisted Rox with the structure of the capital raising and engaged with foreign legal counsel in relation to foreign jurisdictional issues and reviewed syndicate documents prepared by the joint lead managers and ASX disclosures prepared by Rox.
The funds from the capital raising will be used for construction of initial infrastructure for mining crews, set-up for pre-mill construction, and to pursue long-lead items such as processing plant equipment.
The Thomson Geer team was led by Partner Scott Gibson who said: "We are pleased to be able to support Rox Resources as it continues to progress the Youanmi project and establish itself as a major Australian gold producer."
Scott was supported by Senior Associate Chris Seotis and Lawyer Ariane Moir.
