Thomson Geer advised Sea Harvest on all aspects of the deal, including securing a large number of approvals from a range of state and federal regulatory authorities, as well as assisting Sea Harvest with numerous property approvals, leases, sub-leases and licences.

Acting for aged care providers in relation to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

Advising Roshana Group on the $15 million Valencia Nursing Home redevelopment. This involved providing strategic advice and advocacy through multiple SAT mediations and JDAP meetings to facilitate approval for a 120 bed redevelopment of an existing aged care facility in the City of Kalamunda.

Advising multiple retail funds on licensing, disclosure and compliance set-up and operations.

Advising a major post-secondary education provider about a restructure of its businesses across Australia, including the strategy for implementation and communication of a large number of redundancies.

Assisting Resolute Mining with a US$90 million sale process for its Bibiani gold mine in Ghana which involved multiple bidders from a range of jurisdictions as well as co-ordinating the sale process with other advisors both in Australia and in Ghana.

Advising residential aged care providers in relation to complex resident issues including security of tenure, substitute decision making and financial arrangements.

Advising and representing clients in actions against them by regulators such as the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission alleging misleading or deceptive conduct in relation to advertising claims.

Assisting several registered clubs with amalgamations and other transactions including Mounties Group, Blacktown Workers Club, Windsor RSL and Campsie RSL.

Acting for seven local councils in relation to the 'China Sword' issue, the ban on sending paper and plastic to China which is forcing up recycling costs. This is a national problem with Councils reaching out to State Governments for funding to cover the gap and provide a solution.

Acting for a litigation guardian in Supreme Court proceedings to recover a property an elderly person transferred to a family member in circumstances where the person could not comprehend the nature and effect of the transaction. Also advised on separate proceedings to enable a Guardian and Financial Manager to be appointed to assist the elderly person outside of the proceedings.

Reconstruction over a two year period of a listed mining services company in relation to syndicated finance facilities culminating in full payment to the syndicated financiers of all monies owed. This involved working with the company (with assets in several countries) in their documentation of agreements with lenders, sale of properties, capital raisings, dealings with hedge fund financiers, consultants Flagstaff and KordaMentha, Banks' agents McGrath Nicol and lawyers in each relevant jurisdiction.
