Robert is a highly experienced litigator with a strong background in dispute resolution and corporate and commercial law, including business structures (companies, trusts, and partnerships) and corporate governance.
Robert’s areas of expertise include commercial litigation and dispute resolution, professional negligence claims, directors’ and officers’ claims, shareholders, trust and partnership issues, trade practices, competition and consumer claims, arbitration and building disputes, construction, and insolvency.
Robert is a Trustee of CEDA (Committee for Economic Development of Australia) and has acted as a director and company secretary of a number of substantial private companies, charitable foundations, and community groups.
Recent experience includes:
- Acted in the Dairy Farmers merger, leading the Queensland legal team.
- Acted for Ideal Electrical in the sale of the business to a multi-national consortium.
- Acted and advised several of Australia’s leading banks, and acted for National Australia Bank in a number of reported cases, including NAB v Kabwand.
- Acted for Plaintiffs against stockbrokers.
