NEWSLETTER: SA Public Sector – Issue 68

Welcome to the latest issue of our SA Public Sector Newsletter.

New amendments have been introduced to South Australia’s Public Health Act, which may end the state’s emergency management declaration by the end of June.

The declaration has been extended by cabinet and the state’s Governor General 28 times and has been in place for more than two years – the longest such declaration in South Australian history.

The proposed legislative changes would allow SA Health to impose requirements on positive cases and close contacts, rather than those requirements being imposed under the emergency management declaration.
