Welcome to Issue 58 of the SA Public Sector Newsletter.

A new Bill has been passed which introduces significant reform to the role of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption in South Australia under the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption Act 2012 (SA).

A new program aimed at breaking the cycle of intergenerational domestic violence, has been launched by the SA Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The “Supporting Parents’ and Children’s Emotions (SPACE) Program” is aimed at reducing the risk of children being exposed to domestic and family violence by providing early intervention support to young parents aged between 12 to 25 years, who are experiencing or perpetuating domestic and family violence. The Program is being run through the Women’s and Children’s Health Network, as a specialised add-on to its Young Parents Program.

In Federal news, the Australian Government has commenced consultation on a common pathway for digital execution of statutory declarations and deeds, with a view to improving the consistency of document execution across the Australian federation.
