Thomsons Lawyers advised Macquarie Pastoral Fund’s Paraway Pastoral on the acquisition of more than 160,000 hectares of land.

Macquarie Pastoral Fund’s Paraway Pastoral is one of Australia’s top 10 landowners.

The Thomsons Lawyers’ team, led by Tom Boyce, advised on the purchase of land and Water Access Licences. The acquisitions also involved crown land issues such as enclosure permits, permissive occupancies, bore licences, grazing permits and various access issues.

Tom Boyce, Thomsons Lawyers’ Property & Development partner says, ‘This acquisition of four large farms in NSW shows investor confidence in ‘visible’ rural assets such as land and property and the income generated from livestock.’

Thomsons Lawyers has an established relationship with Paraway Pastoral having previously advised on the acquisition of other rural properties on Paraway’s behalf in recent years.

The Thomsons Lawyers’ team included: Tom Boyce (partner), Andrew Jacobs (associate), Julie McCann (paralegal), Michele Gibbs (paralegal), Julian Peters (consultant) and Kahlee O’Connor (lawyer).
