In line with our national growth strategy, Thomson Playford appointed the highly regarded environment, climate change, planning and energy lawyer, Fraser Bell. The appointment of this specialist partner will increase our reputation as a national leader in environmental, climate change, planning and energy legal services.
Thomson Playford Chief Executive Brett Goodridge said it was important the firm had additional specialist lawyers of the calibre of Fraser given the increasing environmental and energy issues facing business and government.
“Fraser has a wealth of experience providing strategic and pro-active advice to large corporate clients, government agencies, landowners and developers. This makes Fraser an ideal fit for Thomson Playford and builds on our reputation for providing legal services of the highest quality.”
With environmental and planning issues high on the business and community agenda and the enormous changes being experienced in the energy sector, Thomson Playford sees demand only increasing for specialist legal services in these areas. So the appointment of Fraser is an important step forward for the firm and deepens the level of expertise and resources for our clients.
Fraser Bell is a partner in the Adelaide Property & Development team of Thomson Playford, and he leads the group focusing on the areas of environment, climate change and contaminated land. He has extensive experience in the industrial and commercial property industry and regularly advises on the environmental aspects of property acquisitions and disposals as well as on major development projects, construction financing, management of property portfolios and leasing.

Since environmental and planning issues affect a broad selection of industries, Thomson Playford is ideally positioned to assist clients in meeting their sustainability objectives and compliance requirements as well as mapping out their future strategies in a carbon constrained world. It is important for Thomson Playford to remain at the forefront of legal developments within these sectors to continue to provide our clients with the best available service and advice.
