Thomson Geer has joined La Camara, the Official Spanish-Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Sydney based Partner, Sylvia Fernandez, is the National President of La Camara.
Trade between Australia and Spain has been steadily increasing, with more than 800 companies from Spain and Australia conducting business together, generating combined sales in excess of AU$3billion.
La Camara facilitates and fosters the development of business relationships within the Spanish-Australian business community. It achieves this through events such as corporate lunches, ministerial briefings, seminars, private boardroom functions, networking evenings and more relaxed cultural and cocktail events.
The move for Thomson Geer to align itself with La Camara was made not only because of Sylvia’s significant involvement with the organisation, but because of the many benefits it can deliver to the firm’s clients.
Thomson Geer Chief Executive Partner, Adrian Tembel, said that the reach of the Chamber had become quite significant.
“We have a number of clients with a Spanish connection, and this membership allows us to provide unique opportunities for our clients, while learning more about them and the markets in which they operate.”
