Thomson Geer advised Domino’s Pizza Enterprises (DPE) on its entry into the German market in 2015 including joint venture arrangements with Domino’s UK and the acquisition of Joey’s Pizza, the then largest pizza delivery chain in Germany for €79 million. Thomson Geer also advised DPE on the 2015 acquisition of Pizza Sprint which had 89 stores located across France. The Thomson Geer team was led by corporate Partner, Eugene Fung and Senior Associate, Jamie Kerr.

DPE is the market leader in Germany. The acquisition of Hallo Pizza further strengthens its market position, by increasing its store count from 209 stores to approximately 300 – 340 stores and provides the scale and platform to assist in achieving its target of operating 1,000 stores in Germany.

Thomson Geer partner Eugene Fung said:

“We congratulate DPE on its latest acquisition and are delighted to have made a contribution that consolidates Domino’s position as the leading pizza brand in Germany.”
