Our Sydney office recently co-hosted a government delegation from Korea in conjunction with John Murn from the NSW Department of Education.
The group consisted of people from the Korean Ministry of Government Legislation, Education Office and Korea Student Aid Foundation. They were in Australia for almost a week.
Our Partner and Education law specialist, Jacquie Seemann, discussed (with the aid of an interpreter) the Australian education system from early childhood to university, the regulatory framework and a number of policy issues including education outcomes, bullying of students and teachers, and child protection.
It was a really interesting discussion and we’ve already had some follow up queries from members of the group.
