Thomson Geer Partner, Sanushka Seomangal, has been appointed to the Board of the Australia-India Council (AIC) for a five year term to January 2024.
The role of the AIC is to advance Australia’s foreign and economic policy interests by building awareness and understanding between the people and institutions of Australia and India. The Australian Government endorsed India Economic Strategy signals the priority attached to our economic partnership going forward and the Board is playing an important role to advocate and reach out to the business community on this landmark Strategy.
Sanushka has a particular interest in India and is a co-founder and director of the School of Policy and Governance, co-founder of the Australia India Youth Dialogue and National Vice Chair of the Australia India Business Council (AIBC). She is also a member of Women on Boards and UN Women.
She was also named by the Australian Financial Review as one of the 100 Women of Influence in Australia 2018.
