David Church has extensive national and international experience advising on the full spectrum of M&A transactions (regulated and unregulated), private equity and equity capital markets across a wide range of industry sectors.

David has held senior roles at top tier law firms in Australia, Hong Kong and the UK, advising on some of the most high profile M&A transactions in Europe and Asia. His experience also includes serving as general counsel and head of mergers & acquisitions at a well-known investment group in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for all of its global public and private M&A and investment activity, together with equity capital markets, having oversight in respect of its commercial work.

David's key achievements include originating, structuring and executing successful investments and divestments in multiple jurisdictions across multiple sectors, both public and private, as well as joint ventures, asset transactions and financings.

He is well known and respected across the Asia-Pacific region for his work and the relationships he builds with clients and colleagues.

Chesser Resources

Advising ASX-listed gold company Chesser Resources Limited (ASX:CHZ) on its proposed acquisition by Canada-based global precious metals miner, Fortuna Silver Mines Inc., in an all-scrip deal valuing Chesser at A$89 million.
