Sarah is a Special Counsel in the Sydney Property & Development team and has more than 20 years’ experience as a property lawyer. She has worked both in private practice and in-house at an institutional property portfolio.

Sarah is experienced in leasing, due diligence, sales and acquisitions, advice work, drafting client leasing precedents, and financing work.

Sarah acts for corporate and institutional clients, both as landlord and tenant, and advises on all aspects of commercial, retail and industrial leasing, including office buildings, shopping centres, industrial estates, hospitals/health care facilities, ground leases, petrol stations, and liquor stores.

Sarah prides herself on her extensive knowledge of the leasing process and market which enables her to work with clients from the beginning of the relocation process, ensuring a smooth and timely transition.

Relevant experience includes:

  • Acting for Woolworths in relation to the Lane Cove Market Square development, including preparing the precedent agreement for lease and supervising all leasing transactions.
  • Acting for Fossil Australia Pty Ltd in relation to its retail leases on an Australia-wide basis and providing advice on leasing issues.
  • Acting for Morgan Stanley in relation to its leases of premium office space throughout Australia including, renegotiation of its Chifley Tower, Sydney leases which involved advising a team consisting of lawyers and senior management in New York, Hong Kong, and Sydney. This included agreements for lease, leases and variations of existing leases, and substantial negotiation of lease terms with particular emphasis on market review provisions, expansion and contraction rights, and incentive arrangements.
