Rebecca has practiced in employment and safety law since 2009 and has completed a Master of Employment and Labour Relations Law at Melbourne University. She has worked for a range of government clients, corporate entities and not-for-profit organisations.

She has also worked in-house or Australia Post as a Senior Workplace Relations Advisor, advising the senior executive team, human resources business partners and other senior leaders in relation to a range of industrial, employment and safety matters and representing the corporation in the Fair Work Commission and anti-discrimination tribunals.

Rebecca assists clients with all aspects of employment related and occupational health and safety law.

She has particular experience in providing advice and assistance in relation to employment obligations, termination of employment and redundancy, transfer of business, enterprise bargaining, employment-related taxation and superannuation obligations, occupational health and safety matters, drafting contracts of employment and policies, workplace investigations and delivering training.

She also has extensive experience in representing clients in unfair dismissal claims and general protections claims, industrial disputes, enterprise agreement negotiations, discrimination claims and other related litigation.

Recent experience includes:

  • Acted for government clients in the Fair Work Commission, the AHRC, VCAT, the Federal Circuit Court and Federal Court defending unfair dismissal, general protections, bullying and discrimination claims.
  • Provided enterprise bargaining assistance for large employers in the manufacturing and mining industries.
  • Represented employer in the restaurant industry in Fair Work Ombudsman investigation and litigation.
  • Prepared and delivered harassment, bullying and discrimination training to management; and office and warehouse staff.
