Mark has more than 20 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial property and infrastructure transactions.

He has acted on projects ranging from electricity transmission lines and gas pipelines to some of the largest residential apartment projects ever undertaken in Australia.

His experience in large infrastructure and property projects has not only placed him at the forefront of property development law but also enables him to identify and deal with legal issues before they occur.

Mark manages the firm’s Off the Plan Project Team, servicing large and complex residential developments.

His current clients include local and overseas property developers, commercial property investors as well as statutory and privately owned gas and electricity utilities.

Recent experience includes:

  • Advising and assisting for over five years in relation to legal issues at all levels for the 4-Tower Upper West Side Development including preparation of standard contracts of sale, negotiating section 173 agreements, obtaining required FIRB approvals, drafting Owners Corporation Rules and advising in relation to Owners Corporation issues and managing the settlement process.
  • Advising and managing the property issues arising from the construction of the Kempsey to Coffs Harbour Electricity Transmission Line, including the acquisition of in excess of 300 easements, advising in relation to compulsory acquisition and meeting with legal representatives for affected owners on a regular basis.
  • Acting for national retail chains in all states and territories of Australia, including advising in relation to retail lease legislation and preparing standard national lease terms with landlords.
