Diana Angele is a specialist property lawyer with more than 25 years’ experience across a broad range of property transactions, having worked in both private practice and in house.

Her experience includes commercial, residential, business and land acquisitions and disposals, commercial, retail, industrial and shopping centre leasing, broad acre property subdivision and development and property acquisition due diligence.

She has particularly strong leasing experience from her time working as Chief Legal Counsel for a retail chain, which saw her negotiating and settling more than 200 tenant leases in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales, including renewals, extensions of lease, variations of lease, assignments of lease, surrenders of lease, incentive deeds and other ancillary agreements.

  • Commercial and residential property acquisitions and disposals: Acting for both vendors and purchasers – negotiating and settling heads of agreement, conducting purchaser due diligence, drafting contracts for vendors and ancillary agreements, assignments of lease and transacting matters through to settlement.
  • Commercial, retail and industrial leasing: Acting for institutional landlords, commercial landlords, retail and commercial tenants in negotiating agreements for lease and leases, renewals, extensions of lease, variations of lease, assignments of lease, surrenders of lease, incentive deeds and other ancillary agreements.
  • Shopping Centre leasing: Acting for landlords, preparing and negotiating new leases, disclosure statements, renewals, extensions of lease, variations of lease, assignments of lease, surrenders of lease, incentive deeds and other ancillary agreements.
  • Land acquisitions and disposals: Acting for both vendors and purchasers – negotiating and settling heads of agreement, conducting purchaser due diligence, drafting contracts for vendors and ancillary agreements and transacting matter through to settlement.
  • Acted for a group of vendors in the sale of a Devon Meadows Land portfolio of 100 acres – contract value approx. $50 million.
