Sydney Corporate Partner, Brendon Noney, recently led Thomsons’ Sydney Corporate team in advising an international IT Service Management, IT Assets Management and Customer Service Management company on Australian privacy and cross border data flow issues relating to the adoption of cloud computing technologies by Federal, State and Local Governments.

The brief arose out of the client’s desire to engage in a tender process for the provision of cloud computing services to Government, where the data may be housed outside of Australia.

Brendon recently presented on the legal issues around cloud computing, including privacy and cross border data flows, at an Australian Institute of Company Directors Briefing.
