Thomson Playford Cutlers is significantly expanding its workplace relations capability, with the lateral hire of an additional Adelaide-based team.

The three person team is headed by partner Mr Karl Luke, who boasts more than 15 years experience as both a barrister and solicitor dealing with workplace relations.

Chief Executive Partner Mr Adrian Tembel said the appointment would further strengthen the firm’s expertise and resources in its growing Workplace Relations practice.

“This is an important step forward for the firm and broadens the level of expertise and support for our clients.

“This appointment highlights a real growth market for the firm, with demand for workplace relations assistance increasing following the introduction of the Fair Work Act.

“Employers have had to grapple with significant legislative changes in workplace relations over the last two years, and the addition of Karl Luke and his team allows us to bolster our already strong Workplace Relations team.”

“During his career, Karl has provided strategic advice for national and local employers on industrial relations, safety and employment law issues. He will be a great asset to the firm and our clients.”

“We are pleased to secure this team” Mr Tembel added.

Thomson Playford Cutlers is one of the country’s fastest growing law firms with more than 340 partners, lawyers and support staff operating out of offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
