Thomson Geer’s Sydney M&A team have acted on a deal for Access Capital Advisers (ACA) that will see them merge infrastructure operations with Challenger Limited.
The transaction is a fully scrip-based deal that will result in a A$4 billion infrastructure fund. The new boutique infrastructure business will be called Whitehelm and will employ 48 people in London, Sydney, Singapore and Canberra.
Whitehelm will focus its operations on infrastructure assets such as toll roads, airports and utilities.
Thomson Geer provided advice and support to ACA and its shareholders to implement this transaction.
